Ammeter

The ammeter measures the current through its terminals. Conventional current flows out of the positive supply terminal and into the negative supply terminal. The direction of current flow is shown by the direction of the arrows on the terminals of the ammeter.

The current reading is displayed to the left of the part (by default). A positive meter reading means that current is flowing from the terminal marked by a dot to the unmarked terminal.

Part parameters:

• Ammeter range: ± 0.01 A to ±9999 A (default); ± 0.01 µA to ±9999 A (Meter Autorange option selected)
• Fixed resistance: 0 ohms

Tips for use:

• You are strongly advised to set the Autorange option in the Meters section of the Scene properties (Electronics) to 'On' when using an ammeter.
